Do you know our school?

The Hungarian school, the Tamási Béri Balogh Ádám Katolikus Gimnázium, Kollégium, Általános Iskola és Óvoda is a Catholic High school in Tamási, Tolna county in the south-west part of Hungary. The high school has always played a central role in the cultural life of the town and its neighbourhood.
Tamási is located in a disadvantaged region, therefore we promote all kinds of innovation, we keep looking for opportunities so that our students can get the chance to meet other cultures and take part in international projects. In 2022 the high school celebrated its 75th anniversary.

There are about 400 students, 35 teachers and 12 administrative workers in the school. The main profile of education is the 9-year-long high school training, including students between the ages 10 and 19. In the first year of their education our students learn foreign languages (English or German) 18 lessons/week and IT. Besides the 9-year-long training there is a traditional 4-year-long training as well including students between the ages of 14 and 18.

The main role of our education is to prepare our students for their higher education and to help them enter the labour market, that is the reason why the teaching of foreign languages and IT is a priority.
